What was your first
introduction to the fashion industry?
I have long admired and yearned to
be part of the fashion industry. My first real introduction was probably when
my mom would take me to the museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology. My
mom's dream as a child was to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology for
fashion design but her parents wouldn't let her so I feel really grateful that
(after much persuasion) my parents trusted my decision to go into
fashion.
How would you
describe your personal style?
I always have a hard time describing
my personal style because it really depends on how I feel! I lean towards
pieces that are feminine and usually prairie girl inspired.
What does your beauty
routine primarily consist of?
I wash my face with Marie Veronique
cleanser and use her amazing oil that has changed my skin. I also swear by TaTa
Harper's resurfacing mask. As for makeup I don't have much of a routine, I wear
a tinted moisturizer and some blush!
Who are some of
your biggest influences?
My biggest influences are my friends and family.
I am most inspired by the women in my life.
What is your
signature fragrance?
I wish I had cute answer for this
but unfortunately I have super sensitive skin so I can't wear perfume or
anything. I guess my signature sent would be the Le Labo shampoo I use!
Who are some of your
favorite designers?
Maryam Nassir Zadeh, Collin Strada,
Rachel Comey, Saks Potts.
Do you gravitate more
towards vintage pieces or designer pieces?
My bank account really only lets me gravitate
towards vintage pieces at the moment!
How has your style
evolved since moving to New York from Atlanta?
My style has matured so much since moving to New
York, I moved here when I was 20 so a lot about my taste has changed and
developed. I feel as though I've grown truer to myself in what I'm wearing.
What are you
especially attuned to right now?
Reading and writing have been my
main hobbies as of late, I also have been going to the movies alone which is
something that I never thought I would enjoy doing!
